Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sagemeet ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our Telegram Bot and related scheduling services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
To provide our meeting scheduling service, we collect and process the following information:
- Telegram User Information: Your Telegram ID, username, and name to identify you within our system.
- Google Account Information: If you connect your Google Calendar, we receive and store your email address and OAuth 2.0 credentials (access tokens and refresh tokens) to interact with the Google Calendar API on your behalf.
- Calendar Availability: We query free/busy calendar information to calculate common free slots. We do not store your private calendar details, description of other meetings, or invitees from your other unrelated meetings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to perform the core functions of the Service, specifically:
- To discover common free time intervals among meeting participants.
- To create meeting events on your primary Google Calendar (including generating Google Meet video links).
- To update your invitation response status (RSVP) when you accept or decline an invitation via our Telegram Bot.
We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
3. Google API Scopes & User Data
Sagemeet's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We request the following Google Calendar scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events: Used to create and manage meeting events (and update invite responses) on your calendar.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly: Used to read free/busy calendar status to check availability.
4. Data Protection and Security Mechanisms
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. We use encryption to protect your information. We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect Google user data and all personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, loss, destruction, or disclosure. Our security procedures include the following data protection mechanisms:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the user, the messaging platforms (Telegram and MAX), our backend servers, and Google APIs is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) and HTTPS protocol (minimum TLS 1.2).
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data (such as Google OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens) is stored encrypted at rest in our PostgreSQL database using strong cryptographic standards, specifically AES-256-GCM encryption.
- Access Controls & Authorization: Database access is strictly restricted. Only authorized administrative personnel (the core developer, Mikhail Puzyrev) have access to the database servers. Access requires secure key-based SSH authentication, and direct root database login is disabled.
- Secure Hosting Environment: Our servers are hosted in a secure, audited datacenter with active network firewalls, rate limiting, and intrusion detection monitoring to protect against cyber threats.
5. Data Retention, Deletion, and Correction
We retain your Google OAuth credentials and related metadata only for as long as necessary to provide the core scheduling services to you. Users have full control over their data:
- Disconnecting Calendar: You can revoke access and delete all your stored Google credentials instantly by using the `/logout` command inside the Telegram/MAX bot. This immediately purges your tokens and email from our database.
- Google Account Settings: You can also revoke our app's access to your Google account at any time via the Google Account Security Settings.
- Data Correction and Inquiries: To request a full deletion, correction, or review of any data associated with your account, you can contact us at imichaelsage@gmail.com, and we will fulfill your request within 3 business days.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
